GRIA has merged with Hire Australia. Hire Australia now handles recruitment, registration and enquiries. Australian Immigration Agency (AIA) is our immigration partner.

Global recruitment

Start with the skills your team needs

International recruitment begins with the role, the work location and the skills needed. Country guides can help you prepare questions, but each candidate's qualifications, English, experience and work rights need their own assessment.

GRIA has merged with Hire Australia. Hire Australia's recruiters manage searches and shortlists; AIA provides immigration advice when sponsorship is needed.

Plan ahead

Use the guides to plan useful checks

These guides cover occupation areas, English communication, qualification recognition and immigration considerations. They do not promise candidate availability, Australian registration or a visa.

Employers start with a Hire Australia enquiry and receive a shortlist from recruiters. Candidates register free on Hire Australia's platform, then apply for jobs or join the talent pool.

Discuss with the recruiter

  • What skills and experience are essential?
  • Which qualifications or registrations are required?
  • What communication does the role involve?
  • Where is the work, and what onboarding is needed?
  • Will the candidate need immigration advice?
How it works

From a role brief to a considered match

  1. Describe the role

Give Hire Australia a clear brief on duties, location and required experience. Recruiters run the search and send you a shortlist.

  2. Review candidates individually

Look at the person's qualifications, work history and communication. Overseas credentials are not automatic Australian registration or licensing.

  3. Check visa requirements

After a job match, AIA checks visa eligibility. Migration fees are quoted case by case in writing, with government fees charged separately.

Start with your hiring needs

Tell Hire Australia about the role. If a candidate needs sponsorship, AIA can check current visa eligibility.
