GRIA Employer Fees: Transparent, Simple, Fixed

Smart, simple, and structured pricing for hiring internationally.

At GRIA, we believe hiring internationally shouldn’t be a maze of hidden costs or unclear promises. That’s why we’re upfront, transparent, and unapologetically premium in our pricing.

When you partner with us, you’re not just filling roles—you’re securing a workforce solution that’s end-to-end, compliant, and designed for long-term success. We take care of everything: recruitment, vetting, immigration compliance, and onboarding. All under one roof. One expert team. One fixed fee.

What You Get: Recruitment + Migration Working Together

We’ve structured our professional fees across two key services—each critical to your success:

Recruitment: We don’t just source candidates. We access pre-vetted, job-ready international talent from trusted global networks. Every candidate we put forward has been filtered for skills, qualifications, and visa eligibility—so you get people ready to work, not just ready to apply.

Migration: Beyond getting your candidate here, we manage the entire immigration journey. From sponsorship approvals to visa lodgements, compliance checks, and legislative updates—we handle the complexity so you stay compliant, confident, and free to focus on your business.

The highest value is achieved when you use both services together. By engaging both recruitment and migration through GRIA, you unlock our full-service guarantee. Please note: if recruitment is purchased as a standalone service, we do not provide warranty or ongoing migration support for the candidate.

Fixed Professional Fees

Here’s a clear breakdown of our professional fees across the candidate’s visa lifecycle:

Service Upfront Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Total*
Recruitment 12.5% 5% 5% 2.5% 25%
Migration 7% 1% 1% 1% 10%
Total 19.5% 6% 6% 3.5% 35%

Fixed Price Guarantee: Our fees are fixed. No hidden extras. No surprises.

About the migration fee:
This covers our professional service fee for both the SID Nomination and the Visa Application Lodgment.
It’s always calculated on the candidate’s starting base salary (excluding superannuation), and it’s capped at $10,000 total (ex. GST) across the sponsorship period. In practice, if the starting salary is above $100,000, your migration fee will never exceed $10,000.

How payments work:
Fees are invoiced monthly over the sponsorship period, aligning with key milestones so you only pay as value is delivered.

*Note: A typical visa lasts 3 years (up to a maximum of 4 years). By the end of year 2, many employees become eligible to apply for permanent residency—transitioning off sponsorship and securing a more stable future in Australia. If they choose to apply for permanent residency, that process is their personal responsibility and cost—not the employer’s. This natural pathway reinforces retention and long-term commitment.

Aligned with Your Success: Why We Spread the Cost

We spread the cost across the life of the employee’s visa—because we’re invested in their success and yours. Rather than one large upfront cost, we charge a minimal upfront fee and smaller milestone-based fees over time. This keeps us accountable beyond placement and truly partnered with you for the long term.

And we’re with you every step of the way. Our migration service doesn’t end at visa grant—we provide continuous support for the life of the visa, including:

  • Proactive updates on legislative and compliance changes impacting your employee(s)
  • Ongoing visa compliance checks to protect your sponsorship status
  • Two free consultations per year for your employee (and their family) for advice and reassurance

This peace of mind means your employee can focus on their role—not their visa or family’s future. And you can focus on growing your business with confidence.

Mandatory Government Fees

Please note: These government fees are separate from GRIA’s professional service fees and are charged directly by the Australian Government.

The Australian Government charges mandatory fees for sponsoring international employees. These include the Government Visa Application Fee and the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) Levy.

The total government fees vary depending on:

  • The visa type
  • Sponsorship duration
  • Your company size and revenue

Here’s a typical range for a Skilled International Deployment (SID) Visa (subclass 482):

Employer Type 1-Year Visa 4-Year Visa
Small Business (< $10M revenue) ~$4,500 ~$7,000
Large Enterprise (≥ $10M revenue) ~$6,500 ~$10,500

Important: Government fees are payable to the Department of Home Affairs via GRIA and are generally non-refundable, though limited exceptions may apply in specific circumstances.

Adding Family Members (If Applicable)

If your sponsored employee wishes to bring their family, GRIA charges additional professional service fees for dependent processing:

Family Member GRIA Professional Fee
Spouse/Partner $2,500
Dependant (under 18) $1,000 per dependant

These fees cover our professional support to manage the dependent visa process, documentation, lodgement, and coordination.

The Australian Government also charges separate mandatory visa application fees for each spouse/partner/dependent:

Family Member Government Fee Range
Spouse/Partner $1,150 – $2,400
Dependant (under 18) $290 – $600 per dependant

Note: Government fees vary depending on visa type and family circumstances. These fees are generally non-refundable, though limited exceptions may apply in specific circumstances.

Standard Business Sponsorship (If Applicable)

If your business has not previously sponsored international workers, you’ll need to apply for a Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) before hiring through GRIA.

  • The SBS is valid for 5 years and only needs to be completed once—not per hire.
  • This is a mandatory step for all first-time sponsoring employers under the Skilled International Deployment (SID) visa program.

SBS Setup Costs:

Item Fee
GRIA Professional Fee $3,500
Government Lodgement Fee $420

GRIA handles the end-to-end process of your SBS application, ensuring all compliance standards are met efficiently and correctly.

Once approved, your SBS status allows you to sponsor multiple overseas workers under the SID visa stream during the 5-year period.
