The Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL) is Australia’s consolidated list of high-demand occupations, created by Jobs and Skills Australia to align migration with real workforce needs.
For employers, it streamlines hiring the right people under the Skills in Demand (SID) visa.
For candidates, it creates clear pathways to live and work in Australia through targeted skill demand.

The CSOL is central to the Skills in Demand (SID) visa (subclass 482), which replaced the previous Temporary Skill Shortage visa.

• Candidates in critical care, support, and service roles.
• Earnings below AUD $76,515. • Sector-specific programs with strong protections.
