1. What is GRIAworks, and how does it support recruitment agencies like ours?

GRIAworks is a purpose-built recruitment platform solving Australia’s skilled labour shortages by connecting vetted international talent with trusted employers — all through one transparent, open marketplace.

As a GRIAworks partner, your agency unlocks access to multiple high-demand job opportunities with just one candidate registration. We bring the employer pipeline — you bring the talent.

In short? You focus on sourcing and vetting great candidates. We take care of employer engagement, compliance, and visa support — through our in-house immigration team at the Australian Immigration Agency (AIA), a division of GRIA.

2. What’s the benefit of joining GRIAworks vs working directly with employers?

Employers want simplicity, scale, and compliance — not the hassle of managing dozens of offshore agencies. That’s where GRIAworks becomes your multiplier:

  • You gain access to more employers than you could reach alone
  • We handle employer engagement, compliance, and payment logistics
  • Your candidates remain yours, but are placed faster
  • You earn commission per placement, without chasing leads

GRIAworks is not a job board. It’s a scalable growth engine for trusted recruitment partners.

3. What industries and job types does GRIAworks currently support?

We focus on sectors with chronic skill shortages and consistent demand for sponsor-ready international talent. These include:

  • Aged care & disability support
  • Healthcare (nurses, allied health, support workers)
  • Construction (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.)
  • IT (software & cloud engineers, cyber specialists, etc.)
  • Education (school teachers, special education etc.)
  • Hospitality (chefs, cooks, hotel staff)

We’re expanding based on employer demand. If you specialise in other sectors, reach out — we’re open to exploring new categories.

4. What makes a candidate eligible for the platform?

Candidates must:

  • Be actively seeking an Australian job with sponsorship
  • Hold relevant qualifications, experience, and English skills
  • Be ready for visa processing (we’ll help confirm suitability)
  • Be represented by a GRIA partner agency, unless registered directly

On GRIAworks, candidates upload their own profiles, including CV, qualifications, and preferences.
You, as the recruitment partner, then review, vet, and validate each one. Only after you’re satisfied and can confidently vouch for a candidate do you push them through to the employer side for browsing and interview selection.

Employers only see candidates you’ve approved. You stay in control of the pipeline from start to finish.

5. How are fees and commissions handled?

Each employer pays GRIA a placement fee, which we share with you after a successful hire.

  • Commission is pre-agreed, transparent, and paid within 30 days of start date
  • There are no upfront costs to be a GRIA partner
  • We cover visa processing and compliance through AIA

It’s a win-win model built on aligned incentives and transparent terms.

6. Can we track our candidates’ progress in the system?

Yes. You’ll have access to the GRIAworks Partner Dashboard, including:

  • Live status updates on candidate progression
  • Visibility into employer views, interviews, and offers
  • Notifications when your input is needed

Stay informed — no chasing, no confusion.

7. Do we need to handle the visas ourselves?

No. Our in-house immigration team — AIA (Australian Immigration Agency) — handles all visa and compliance processing for placed candidates. You focus on talent; we handle the red tape.

8. Are jobs on GRIAworks exclusive to one recruitment agency?

No — jobs are shared with recruitment partners from multiple countries, as requested by our employers. However, we typically work with only two agencies per country or region, ensuring continuity and avoiding saturation.

We generally never assign the same job to multiple recruiters within the same country, and only in high-demand cases might we share a job brief with more than one partner agency.

If you ever have concerns about overlap, your Account Manager is here to help.

9. Is there exclusivity on candidates?

Not generally — but once your candidate receives a job offer via GRIAworks, they must not be submitted to any other roles or interviews.
This maintains employer confidence and prevents double-handling or offer conflicts.

10. Do we need to be licensed in our home country to recruit?

Yes. All partners must:

  • Hold all relevant labour export or recruitment licences
  • Comply with the legal and ethical requirements of their jurisdiction
  • Ensure candidates are legally eligible to migrate to Australia

GRIA does not take responsibility for any local licencing or compliance breaches by partner agencies.

11. Are these jobs for remote work, or physical relocation to Australia?

All roles on GRIAworks require physical relocation to Australia.
We do not currently support remote roles or placements in any other countries.

12. Do you require a replacement guarantee if the candidate leaves?

Yes. GRIA requires all recruitment partners to offer a 6-month free replacement warranty.

If a placed candidate leaves within the first six months, you must provide a replacement at no additional recruitment fee. (Government or third-party costs, like visa or medical fees, may still apply.)

This policy builds long-term trust and protects employer satisfaction.

13. How do we join as a recruitment agency partner?

Becoming a partner is simple:

  1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via our website
  2. We’ll assess your track record and industry expertise
  3. Once approved, you’ll receive a Partner Agreement, onboarding credentials, and training

We prioritise partners who value integrity, transparency, and care for candidates.

14. Are there minimum placement targets or exclusivity clauses?

No. GRIAworks is built on partnership, not pressure. There are no quotas or exclusivity terms.

We simply expect:

  • High-quality, vetted candidates
  • Responsive communication
  • A strong commitment to compliance and ethical practices

15. Who do we contact if we have more questions?

You’ll have a dedicated GRIAworks Account Manager, backed by our Recruitment Operations Team. Or get in touch directly via our Contact Form:
